An example is we were looking into using "Beyonces's broken hearted girl" We thought we could go to the beach and film certain shots but then also use shots from night time in central etc. In this video we thought we could create a glowing effect to highlight the broken heart element of the video. Though we thought this video also would have potential, in a way it would be to similar to the original and it's more of a depressing video where as we wanted to create more of an uplifting one that had more of an impact.
Another possibility within this genre was "Rihanna's-Sell Me Candy song", this stood out in that t
here has been no video as such created for it. So we thought that there was so much that we could do and it was alot about making it stand out through the ideas we came up with. The music with in the song has an element of arabian sort of belly dancing music so we thought we could use this idea and expand it so that we could use belly dancers in the background and present in certain scenes etc. But once we started to sit and discuss our ideas in regard to the mise-en-scene there was only so much we found we could use with in that genre.
Another option was Diana Vickers- The Boy Who Murdered Love, this video really stood out to us as it had a big element of creative impact in regards to the target audience which would be young adults.

Animated effects were constantly used throughout the music video this inspired us as her video had a modern twist. Visually the music video can be seen as a piece of art, for example, hearts , arrows, water are all animated in her performance. Many shots were used such as long shot, close up's of her face.

We then looked at other and the following two stood out the most:
We thought of using the video "Ellie Golding- Starry Eyed", it could be wacky and a mad video in ways, we saw a lot of potential in it as we initially came up with varies ideas that we thought would make it differ from other videos similar. In this case we thought the use of effects would make it stand out.

Another idea was "Pixie Lott- Turn it up" some ideas we could use are having clips of flashbacks of a boyfriend juxtaposed against

the present with her friends. Also with in this we though of the different locations we could go about using. The location and the ideas, costumes etc that came to mind in regards to this video showed us that the use of this song has potential if we work together and bring in all the ideas that come to mind.

Specific ideas for video:
- Manchester eye, during both the day time and at night.
- Shots in some stores, Selfridges etc.
- Fountain in Manchester City Centre, some closes of the main character with effects.
- Bruntwood Park individual shots.
- Changing rooms in some stores, shots of her having fun at present with her friends.
- Mary go round in Spinningfields.
- Shots of before the break up, showing the main character having fun with her "ex"
- After shots, at present showing how her life currently. Having fun with her friends etc.
- Shots of her riding a bike and maybe driving a car.
- Boat trip shots of the little river in central manchester near Cannal street.
Ideas for the magazine:
A picture of the main character sat at her dressing table with picture of the fun times she's had both with her "ex" and her friends, almost a summary of her life surrounding the mirror. A painting of her life so the audience have some sort of insight.

Ideas for the album cover:
We have decided to use the main character from our music video as the main focus in our CD cover inspired by the album covers from Pixie Lott and Diana Vickers. We want the album cover to look like it belongs to the genre of Pop and it will have snapshots of themes such as Love and friendship.

We want the character to be centralized, the idea from this album cover. We are going to have the character to look confident as she in the music video has control over the situation.
From this album cover we want the CD to have a fun atmosphere similar to the song we want to use, the actual cover shows these elements. We will add some photos in the background and we want the overall mise en scene to look informal to attract our target audience.

We will use photoshop cs3 to edit the album cover and the photographs will be in the style of poloroid prints.
